Hello SCA Representatives! 
 
Amherst High School SCA has been given permission from administration to hold elections for the 2013-2014 school year. All interested candidates must submit a campaign poster (standard poster size) to Ms. Hoak in room 145B by 3:00 p.m. on May 23, 2013 . GPA's and discipline records will be checked. In the amended by-laws attached below, it states that officers must maintain a minimum of a 2.8 GPA. You may check this information with guidance. Please review the information below, and open the constitution by-laws link and review the amended information.
 
I. Elections
a. Candidates will be allowed to campaign for a designated period prior to the election.
i. Students planning to hold more than one (1) elected office will need to let me know so that we can submit approval from administrations. There may be a limit on how many offices one person is allowed to hold. 
ii. Interested candidates must submit a campaign poster (standard poster size) to Ms. Hoak in room 145B by 3:00 p.m. May 23, 2013 with the following information:
1. Name and Picture
2. Rising grade for the 2013-2014 school year.
3. Interested offices: students can advertise that they want to run for any of the offices. For example, someone may be open to running for either President or Vice President.
4. Current sports and clubs as well as other offices held in the high school past, present, and/or future.
5. A statement about how the candidate can be a positive impact on the student body.
iii. Students must have a minimum of a 2.8 GPA, and discipline records will be reviewed by the sponsor and administrator before the campaign poster is put on display on May 24, 2013.
