Summer Soccer Workout plan is attached at the bottom of the page. Please feel free to print of and use during the summer. Workout is designed to improve speed, accuracy, and ball skills. Fall conditioning practices will start after labor day and we will practice 2 days a week. An interest meeting will be called at the beginning of the school year to discuss conditioning, team bonding events, fundraiser and other neccessary items.

Parents please be aware that the CPR class that has appered on your students schedule is not an extra class or a class that will affect their GPA. The state of VA has required all freshmen starting with the 2016-2017 school term to pass a written CPR test and a hands on practcal test in order to graduate.  In order for this requirement to be documented on the students transcript for graduation it had to be added to their grade record as a separate class. I assure you that the 0 does not affect your students grade as the grade is entered in as a P for Pass or and F for fail but since P is not recognized as a grade in our grading scale it marks it as a zero but it does not get factored into their grades.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Hello, I would like to introduce myself I am Mrs. Chandler and I am your daughters Health and Physical Education teacher. This is my 13th year of teaching and coaching at Amherst County High School. Throughout the year I will post class information on my school webpage  If your child is absent from class please refer to my webpage to get the assignment that will be due when they return. This page will also contain assignments for students that are out due to injury or illness as well as weekly homework assignments. Arrangements will be made for students that do not have access to the internet at home. Please contact me if you have any questions.
I am excited about the new school year and seeing all the new faces. I am looking forward to getting to know your daughter as well as getting to know you.  I hope to show all of my students how enjoyable physical activity can be and to give them the knowledge and skills to be active throughout life. I ask you as the parent/guardian to please encourage your daughter to be prepared for class every day and to participate fully during class. I have attached a copy of my class expectations please take a moment to read over them. Please sign the two pages that are to be returned to me for my records. You may email me which I respond to faster or call me at any time if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you and have a wonderful day!
