Graduation Rehearsal and Car Guidelines

Hello Lancer Seniors and Families,

We are excited to be celebrating your commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 23rd. We want this to be a fun and memorable event, but we must do so in a safe and orderly way. During these uncertain times, safety has to be our top priority. Participants must adhere to the following guidelines regarding car decorations and parking for graduation to help us accomplish this goal.

Graduation Slide Information

If you plan on participating in Graduation, we need you to fill out this form (click here) by May 10th. We sent this form to our student's email as well last week. If your child does not know their password they can call ACHS (434-946-2898) after 5/7 and ask to speak to their administrator. They will be able to reset their password. Voting for Prom King/Queen and Prince/Princess will be emailed to Juniors and Seniors this week as well.

Hey Lancer Family,

Our school counselors are going to contact each Senior over the course of the next couple of weeks. We want you to understand that students in Dual Enrollment, Early College, Governor’s School, and STEM will be contacted last as we work through the requirements for both Amherst County High School as well as our Regional Programs.

Item Pick-Up, Fundraiser, and Field Trips

Hello Lancer family,

I’m sure by now that you are all aware that public schools in Virginia have been closed for the remainder of the school year. While we understand how devastating this is for everyone, we trust our state leaders and understand why this decision was made. I am sure this leaves you and your families with many questions. I will attempt to address those in this email.

1. How can I pick up my child’s belongings?

We wanted to provide a link to the Amherst County Public Schools COVID-19 information page.  Within this link you will be able to find information about meal distribution, the at home learning plans, VHSL athletic information, frequently asked questions, and much more.
