What is an ITRT?

Instructional Technology Resource Teachers provide on-site and on-demand assistance for fellow teacher to create different forms of learning and teaching with the help of technologies. We seek to improve learning by showing teachers the thoughtful applications and best practices of these new tools.

What is the vision for an ITRT?

The vision for the ITRT is based in emphasizing the importance of integrating technology into instruction and outlines the elements essential to successful use of technology.

What is the general purpose of an ITRT?

The resources for ITRT is provided through funding of Standard of Quality (SOQ). Our general purpose is:

1. Assist teachers with the integration of technology in the classroom.
2. Train teachers to use technlolgy in a effective manner.
3. Assist with curriculum developemtn as it relates to education technology.

A more specific purpose is to:

1. Provide direct support to classroom teachers by coaching or modeling.
2. Consults and collaborates directly with teachers and work with students for the purpose of modeling or demonstrating a lesson.
